Reset Your GPS — coaching for what comes next
Counselling helps you understand where you've been. Coaching helps you figure out where you're going — and builds the route.
The GPS metaphor
Think of it like this. We're in Mojácar. You want to get to Toledo. The road exists. We just need to find it, clear any obstacles, and start moving.
"Reset Your GPS" is the name I give to this phase of work — because that's exactly what it feels like. You're not starting from scratch. You're recalibrating from where you actually are.
What coaching covers
- Identifying your destination — not what you're leaving, but where you're going
- Setting goals that are specific, owned, and connected to what actually matters to you
- Anti-goals: identifying what you need to avoid so you don't end up somewhere you don't want to be
- Building systems and accountability structures that don't collapse under pressure
- Moving — and staying moving
Anti-goals
"What do you need to avoid so you don't end up where you don't want to be?"
Anti-goals aren't negative thinking. They're the guardrails that keep you on your route. Knowing what you're trying to avoid is just as important as knowing what you're aiming for — sometimes more so.
Who this is for
Coaching works best once the emotional weight has lifted enough to look forward. It isn't a substitute for counselling — but for many clients, it's what comes after. The two phases are complementary, not competing.
If you're not sure which you need right now, get in touch and we'll work it out together. There's no wrong place to start the conversation.
I'm ready to look forward.
